I have been questioning myself for a period of time.
"To what extend should I offer myself to someone?"
Because it gets especially tiring on my part, when she is not willing to walk of of her own plight. Many times, i showed her the route where she can possible get help from. But each time, she didn't do it. I am not sure if she already 'ren ming' or do not trust me.
She couldn't see any hope, any possibility that she could walk out of this. Negativity, sadness, anger, bitterness, unforgiveness swamps her everyday life.
I thought i would be an encouragement to her, showing her that situation change and God is real because i went through the exact same plight as her 4 yrs ago. Look at me n my family now, totally transformed! I was in a much worst situation then her i would say, atleast she still has her mum.
The difference between me and her is that:
I am constantly, desperately wanting to get out of the situation.
She is hopelessly believing that there is no solutions to the situation.
I struggled to help her, because it seems that she doesn't want to help herself n her family. Even to the extend i feels that she is very selfish towards her family.
Then, I was reminded:
Jesus went through all the towns and villages, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the good news of the kingdom and healing every disease and sickness. When he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd. Then he said to his disciples, "The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few.Yes. Greater compassion is what i need.
Despite all that is happening. i should continue to help her to walk out of the darkness, and into the light! For she is harassed and helpless, like sheep without sheep.
I have decided... to help her!
I pray that i will be a vessel for God to work in her life and she will choose light instead. :)
