Dy and i decided on a short shopping trip to JB on sunday night.

Laura's 2nd trip to JB.~

Woke up early on monday and off we drove to JB.
Didn't expect a jam at the customs because its monday.. but then we're caught in it for 1 hour. ok la.. not too bad.

on the way there... *showing of her new shoes!* bought quite long ago.. only rem it when shermaine mentioned that xiao tou-fu looks so incomplete without shoes...

we wanted to try something that singapore dun have, so ended up in this restaurant "SEASON" and... it turn out to be "SWENSENs" just different naming. wah lao...

This is the usual "water-rejecting look"

We didn't book hotel but we packed. incase we wanted to stay over. and yes.. eventually, we decided to check into a hotel. It is just 5 minutes away from City Square. RM310nett per night. Ok la.. we had good rest while it was pouring.

This is the room... quite clean!

AND this is our biggest 'shou huo' from the trip. One carton of Nan 2 - laura's milk powder.

Each bottle = SGD 20!

Usual price at Giant = SGD 30!

Savings = $10 per bottle (WOW!!)

Laura smile, 1, 2 3!

Laura has learned to smile at the camera.
Not sure how.
Probably because i snap her almost everyday?

And now she naturally turns to the camera, smile and look away when it is done!

we experimented it yesterday at LA's birthday party. It works! but only if she's not distracted or sleepy/hungry.

she's trying to do push ups like dad-dy!

After awhile, she find herself amusing.

Mummy.. i'm hungry...

And while cooking these porridge, i actually made a big mess in my kitchen. i end up washing 2 basins of stuffs. *bleah* it'll just get better. btw, the porridge is very tasty.. hahaa. u want some?

carrots, cabbage, spinage, ikan bilis... etc..

yes!! all vegetables... and thank god laura is not like me, picky with food. she eats vege! yeah! heng ah.. otherwise her father will come nag me. :)

I did not abuse her. i was merely doing the dishes while she scream her lungs to get my attention. she yup, she finally got my attention, tog with the camera. i just keep snapping..

Phew! Laura finally calmed down. Her face was cover with tears, sweat and mucus i think.

I have been questioning myself for a period of time.
"To what extend should I offer myself to someone?"

Because it gets especially tiring on my part, when she is not willing to walk of of her own plight. Many times, i showed her the route where she can possible get help from. But each time, she didn't do it. I am not sure if she already 'ren ming' or do not trust me.

She couldn't see any hope, any possibility that she could walk out of this. Negativity, sadness, anger, bitterness, unforgiveness swamps her everyday life.

I thought i would be an encouragement to her, showing her that situation change and God is real because i went through the exact same plight as her 4 yrs ago. Look at me n my family now, totally transformed! I was in a much worst situation then her i would say, atleast she still has her mum.

The difference between me and her is that:
I am constantly, desperately wanting to get out of the situation.
She is hopelessly believing that there is no solutions to the situation.

I struggled to help her, because it seems that she doesn't want to help herself n her family. Even to the extend i feels that she is very selfish towards her family.

Then, I was reminded:
Jesus went through all the towns and villages, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the good news of the kingdom and healing every disease and sickness. When he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd. Then he said to his disciples, "The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few.

Yes. Greater compassion is what i need.
Despite all that is happening. i should continue to help her to walk out of the darkness, and into the light! For she is harassed and helpless, like sheep without sheep.

I have decided... to help her!

I pray that i will be a vessel for God to work in her life and she will choose light instead. :)

Behind this cheeky smile is one stubborn little girl.

And now, her legs are stronger, she starts to crawl around, and crawling over the bean bags on the sofa. Trying to stand on her feet, grabbing everything she can support herself.

Oh ya... this is her favourite "bite bite".

And yes! She can site upright already.
