Luke 6:27-36
LOVE FOR ENEMIES (PART ONE)
"But I tell YOU WHO HEAR ME"
Jesus did not expect everyone to understand/obey/follow his teachings, instead, he only teaches those who wanted to hear him. Those who hear him will obey him and his teachings, they are those who leave everything behind to follow him.
"LOVE YOUR ENEMIES, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you"
Is it easy? Well, someone told me that it is easier said then done. I agree! If it was easy, Jesus need not start his teaching with "But i tell you who hear me" coz only those who love him will be able to do this, and those who love him will hear him. And to follow him, one has to disown self. Forgo 'pride', forgo 'fairness', forgo SELFISH thoughts. No longer statements like 'I'm hurt', 'I'm angry', 'I'm cheated', 'I'm accused' etc etc. Instead, DO GOOD, BLESS n PRAY for ur enemies.
"If someone strikes you on one cheek, turn to him the other also. If someone take your cloak, do not stop him from taking your tunic"
There is no need for self-defence, there is no need for revenge, there is no need to prove yourself. Jesus who is present everywhere knows and sees everything that is happening. Your action/speech/thought, none of these are secrets to yourself, they are all transparant before him. There's no where you can hide that he cannot sees. There is nothing to lose, IF you lost yourself, but found Jesus.
"Give to EVERYONE who asks you, and if ANYONE takes what belong to you, DO NOT demand it back"
Jesus uses "everyone" and "anyone" - meaning, EVERY SINGLE SOUL. Even if its one million dollars, do not demand it back. Jesus gave all that he have (his life) for us, and did not demand anything back. Be generous with your possessions, do not treasure them. For where your treasure is, your heart will be. and if you store your treasure on Earth, you are living away from it every day, but if you store your treasure in heaven, everyday, you are living nearer to it.
"Do to others as you would have them do to you"
Always put yourself in the shoes of others, think before you act/speak. How would the other party feel if you do/say certain things. If you are at the receiving end, how would you like to receive it?
Was feeding Laura when I suddenly have the urge to read the bible, as though, God was trying to tell me something urgently. This was the passage that i read, I prayed so hard, asking what was God trying to tell me. So i thought maybe i just blog this entry, and may God bring those who needed to hear this to this blog.
Too tired to blog part 2. will do it soon. digest part one first.
God bless...

Laura is proud that Dad-Dy finished the 42km race!
Anyway, i need to make amendments to my previous post about the spanking. It was not a hard spank, just a slightly stronger tap on the buttocks. x)

She's about to cry...

Crying

Now her hair long already. All standing. LOL.

just posting some photos for those who haven't seen her..

How nice IF... BAbies laugh when they are hungry?
-Just a random thought-Today is my first time bathing Laura, it was quite a challenging experience. My mother in law was sleeping when i finished feeding Laura, so i decided to bathe her myself. Remembering how my mother in law did it, I followed every step closely (except that i forgot to clean her face! but i did it in the end la..) She was struggling at first, but calmed down after that. :) Success!!
Yeah!
MOving house soon... excited to see the new house but dragged the 'moving' part. Hmph!

Laura gets her first spanking from daddy yesterday!
She was crying, wailing, screaming at the top of her voice the whole of last night from 11pm, all the way to 5.30am. Then she wakes up at 7am, wide awake, refuse to sleep till 6.30pm...
What a day. no wonder she gets spanking.
All of us were tired and frustrated.
UNDERESTIMATED THE POWER OF A BABY.Making things worst, my INDIA neighbour woke her up with his loud bathroom singing... "My hump, my hump, my hump, My humps they got u, She’s got me spending."
with that Indian accent. damn hilarious!!!

Her cheeky face!
I've been a mother for 2 weeks and 3 days now.
Body is still adjusting to the new sleeping schedule.
Laura wakes up every 3 hours to feed.
Every feed takes about 1 hour.
I sleep 2 hours between feed.
-Tired-
Now then i understand why people always say that u will really appreciate your mother when u become one you become one urself. This journey hasn't been easy, but with lots of joy. Sometimes frustrating, when she keeps screaming, but refuse to drink - i dunno what she wants. But when she finishes her milk, she will SMILE. just like the above photo, taken after she had her milk milk. so it became quite rewarding after every feed.
Miracle
She was unwilling to sleep after her 3am feed this morning. at 4.30am, she is still wide awake, while i am soooo tired. Making things worst, she has got hiccups! because i was so tired, i didn't attend to her, i sat by her bed, and started praying.
"Dear Lord, I need a miracle! Take away the HICCUPS NOW please! and make her sleep after i pray." Right after that her hiccups stopped, and she fell asleep.
This mothering journey has certainly draw me near to Jesus, praying every moment... Thank god for being with us faithfully.
