IF u have not visited the PLANET CRUSH, u'd better do so!
Drag myself outta bed this morning to go to MTIA course offered by TOUCH community service. and personally... this is something that parents out there should not miss!
Parents! DO u have any idea where are ur kids? If u think that they are at home, u're WRONG. they may be physically at home.. but little did u know that they have transformed into mighty cyber-beings! many parents would have agree with me that kids nowadays do nothing but play maple story, warcraft, blogging and msn-ing etc... to parents, this is a absolute waste of time. but to the youths today! that is the coolest thing that can happen to them... try taking away their computers, they go mad!
As i attended the course with yanling and her mum, guess what are some of the responses from the parents.... check this out!
1. "aiyoh... *tsk tsk tsk* so violent! so much blood!"
2. "what! u mean such cute thing (maple) is dangerous"
3. "oh my god... girls nowadays so shameless?"
i am so sure that the staffs hears these comments at every session. not surprising though... tell me... how many parents in today's time still bring kids out for cycling, beach, pinic and so on? how many parents out there are willing to sacrifice their precious time with their kids?
u always hear them say... "i dun understand why last time when we young we can play jia jia jiu (role playing games) and the kids nowadayds just cant get off the computer? no life man!"
as much as we like to play jia-jia -jiu last time... the kids like it too today! just using different resources. last time we use 'masak' (toys) to pretend to be doctor, teacher etc... kids now use computer to be someone else too! they are great soccer players, great basketballers, great maplers (in the cyber world)... and that is where they want to be... the place that they will find recognition, a place of no naggings, no parents, no homworks... isnt that true? we hated that when we were young too!
i guess no parents will read my blog. i will be pleasantly surprise if there's even one reader, but i just got the urge to write. *burdened*
Parents, stop complaining about ur kids... U have empowered them beyond the ability to protect them! i like an illustration that jonathon gave this morning...
Suppose, ur 15 yr old kid is very good at those car racing games like datona. can take corners at 150kmh... would u give him ur car key? *hope ur answer is no... its illegal anyway*
Kids... get a life! as much as i think that parents has certain responsibility in ur life.. i think U R MOST RESPONSIBLE FOR UR OWN LIFE.
i know its cool.. i know its hot, i know its the thing u cannot live without. let me tell u something.. this is a route to SELF DESTRUCTION, before long.. u will find urself into all kinds of troubles..
there are so much i wanna speak into the youth these days. but it will take u an hour to read maybe.. so i just wanna summarise,

very excited about the combine cell group.
Yeah! we had our very first combined cell yesterday. and it was very good! (to me)
14 of us... it will be multiplied!
The first time where the 5 sisters, (sarah, meishi, baohui, huimin n me) came together and do something. The spirit and presence of god was so strong. i could feel that a different spirit arises within. there is a breakthrough!
very blessed by the cell yesterday! well done girls! keep it up!!
lets all stay committed to the cell group and take ownership of it!
Girls... i am very proud of u all and i thank god for all of u who came. lets be committed for god.. and stand firm for him.. know that his loves for u endures forever... and so i pray that ur love for him endures forever too! love! :)
