a little bit more about me

it all happen in 1996 when i first entered Telok Kurau Sec Sch. On the first day of school, we, the ku-ku sec ones were greated by beautiful melodies of the band... i could still remember that they were playing the oldies "Ye Lai Xiang".

The 4 years in band is the most enjoyable time i had.

we had fun hiding inside a small store room, hiding in cupboards, playing pranks on each other, and tibitting at one small corner... but often the drumsticks will fly pass us when we play on the wrong note. luckily did not land on anyone. sometimes even the music stands will fly! we had many traumatic experiences but we still love to go band practice...

I am not a very good player. but i enjoy making music and performing. i was made the band leader and i was very fierce to my band members. I will ask them to carry those huge instruments up and down a 3 story building as punishment. *evil*

Well... all these wonderful time in band stopped when we had to take Os. I stopped playing but often i miss the instruments. I love them!

5 yrs later. Damien (my band instructor then) sms me: "hey kaiyun, i want to form a percussion band. no strings attached to school band. are u interested?" I struggled coz its been 6 yrs and my drumstick at home already rotted. but he persuaded and believed in me. I agreed.
